Gálatas 2

Vamos a Gálatas 2:15-21, Pablo explica a cerca de lo que es una de las doctrinas clave del cristianismo: "La justificación por la fe", Pablo nos presenta dos opciones por un lado, está vivir bajo las obras.  Esta opción no justifica a nadie, y si fuera posible que la ley justificara, entonces Cristo habría muerto en vano, por el otro lado, la segunda opción es vivir por la fe en Jesucristo, la cual justifica al creyente, por la fe y por Cristo.  Además, en la fe se hace evidente el pecado, y por consiguiente la necesidad de redención divina.

En otras palabras la fe, me da una libertad que la ley no puede darme. En la fe encuentro el camino, la verdad y la vida, porque Cristo  me amó y dio su vida por mí. Si vivo en la fe, vivo para Cristo, y Cristo vive en mí. Por la fe, soy justificado, y  se ha quitado la condena que yo merecía por mi pecado, esto es una gran verdad que me da esperanza y
fuerzas para seguir luchando cada día.

Tambíen hubo un cambio a partir de la obra redentora de Cristo cuando dio su vida por mi. A partir de ese momento la salvación ya no dependía de uno mismo, como lo era antes, esto nos genera una libertad que antes no teníamos ni imaginábamos con tener y ahora solo es necesario tener fe para ser justificado.

Pero bien, no puedo aprovecharme de esa libertad que me da la justificación con la fe para llevar mi vida como quiera. No sirve para nada decir “tengo fe en Jesús” y luego seguir viviendo como quiero, Santiago 2:19 dice que hasta los demonios creen en Dios, y no por eso son salvos.

Pablo nos quiere decir que no hay nada que yo pueda hacer para salvarme, porque ya lo hizo Cristo por mí, pero mi forma de actuar y mi vida tienen que reflejar la fe que profeso. Tal como le dice Pablo mismo a los colosenses, hay que vivir de manera digna agradando a Dios, y esto implica dar fruto en toda buena obra (Colosenses 1:10).

Entonces, es importante examinar nuestra vida espiritual, analizar si estamos viviendo y  agradando a Dios en todo, y si estamos dando fruto en toda buena obra. La pregunta final es: ¿Mi vida refleja el fruto de la fe que profeso? Si no es así, ahora es el momento para cambiar de rumbo y es que hasta el mismo Pedro se equivocó y no practicó lo que predicaba (Gálatas 2: 11-14). Pero cambió y al final Dios le permitió ser el líder de los apóstoles.

Animos! Es tu momento de cambiar y dar frutos para el señor!

Galatians 2

Let's look up to Galatians 2: 15-21
Paul explains one of the key doctrines of Christianity: "Justified by faith", Paul introduces us with two options, on the one hand, which is to live under doings. This option does not justify anyone, and if it were possible for the law to justify, then Christ would have died in vain, on other hand, the second option is to live by faith in Jesus Christ, which justifies the believer, by faith and by Christ. Furthermore, in faith sin becomes evident, and consequently the need for divine redemption.

In other words, faith gives me the freedom that law cannot. In faith, I find the path, the truth, and life, because Christ loved me and gave his life for me. If I live in faith l, inline in Christ and he lives in me. By faith I am justified and the condemnation that I deserved for my sin has been removed, this is a great truth that gives me hope and strength to continue fighting every day.

There was also a change from the redemptive work of Christ when he gave his life for me. From that moment on, salvation no longer depended on oneself as it was before, this result in a freedom that we did not have before or can even imagine and now it is just needed to have faith to be justified.

But, well I cannot draw upon that freedom that justification with faith gives me to lead my life as I expect.  It is pointless to say " I have faith in Jesus" and then continue living as I want to.

James 2:19 says that even the demons believe in God and that is not why they are saved.

Paul means to say that there is nothing I can do to save myself because Christ already did it, but my behaviors and life have to reflect the faith that I profess. As Paul himself tells the Colossians, we must live in a worthy way pleasing God, and this implies bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:10)
So it's important to consider our spiritual life, to analyze if we are living and pleasing God in everything, and if we are bearing fruit in every good work. The final question is: does my life reflects the fruit of the faith that I profess? If not this is the time to change the course and even Peter himself did wrong and did not practice what he preached (Galatians 2: 11-14). But he changes and in the end, God will become the leader of the apostles.
