Devotional coming soon...
Better is a dry morsel with quiet
than a house full of feasting with strife.
Connection is so important. We are at our very core connected beings. Designed to live in harmony with each other and with God. That truth has never been so promemamt as it is right now with many countries of the world in lock down and our freedom to connect in person being more challenging than ever. I have found in this season a greater appreciation of being with those I love. Family and friends that encourage one another and build each other up when we need it.
I love this passage because it reminds me of the importance of harmony and connection. It truly is better be have very little but live in harmony and connectedness free from strife and angst with each other than to have everything you want physically but be disconnected with each other.
I recently watch a mini documentary of Justin Bieber, yup I said it. And I was moved by his journey, he had truly understood that wealth and recognition didn’t create happiness but to be truly seen for who you are did. To love in wide open, deeply rooted friendships where we prefer one another and seek the best for one another is the best feast in life.
May you find yourself feasting at the table of deeply connected friendship and find the beauty in the deep.
Peace.
