Quiero empezar con los siguientes versos V.10,11
Elijan mi instrucción en lugar de la plata y el conocimiento antes que el oro puro. Pues la sabiduría es mucho más valiosa que los rubíes, nada de lo que uno pueda desear se compara con ella.
Muchas veces nos preguntamos como obtener sabiduría, y creemos que mientras mas leemos libros o resolvemos ecuaciones complicadas mas será la sabiduría que obtendremos. Queremos ser sabios, pero insistimos en elegir cosas tan materiales o superficiales.
La sabiduría es mucho mas que eso; nos estresamos tanto porque no logramos ser esas personas sabias, nos cansamos haciendo muchas cosas para obtenerla, cuando ella misma nos llama. Si, esta sabiduría que viene solo de Dios esta al alcance de todos (v.1-4) aun cuando somos ingenuos o necios ella toca a nuestra puerta (v5), mas que la capacidad de conocimiento o la habilidad de una persona, es un atributo absoluto de Dios (Rom 16:27) quien la da a todo el que la busca (Prov 2: 6). Dejemos de buscar en el lugar equivocado o de la forma equivocada.
Esta sabiduría es la revelación de Dios por medio del Espíritu Santo, y que solo se obtiene por una búsqueda reverente de Él (Dios). Mientras mas pasemos tiempo en su presencia, en intimidad con Dios mas se nos dará, pues Dios es la Sabiduría Misma (v.27-30).
V.32 Y ahora, hijos míos, escúchenme, pues todos los que siguen mis caminos son felices. 34 Alegres son los que me escuchan, y están atentos a mis puertas día tras día, 35 pues todo el que me encuentra, halla la vida y recibe el favor del Señor.
Es tiempo que vivas, seas feliz, que disfrutes de esa alegría dada por Dios mismo, pues el que no la encuentra se perjudica a si mismo y corren a la muerte (v36).
Proverbs 8
I want to start with the following:
v. 10-11 receive my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies, and desirable things cannot be compared to her.
Many times we wonder how to obtain wisdom, and we believe that the more we read books or solve complicated equations, the more wisdom we will obtain. We want to be wise, but we insist on choosing such material or superficial things.
Wisdom is much more than that; we get so stressed because we can't be those wise people, we get tired of doing many things to obtain it, when she calls us herself. Yes, this wisdom that comes only from God is available to everyone (v.1-4) even when we are naive or foolish, it knocks on our door (v5), more than the capacity of knowledge or the ability of a person, it is an absolute attribute of God (Rom 16:27) who gives it to everyone who seeks it (Prov 2: 6). Let's stop looking in the wrong place or in the wrong way.
This wisdom is the revelation of God through the Holy Spirit, and it is only obtained by a reverent search for Him (God). The more we spend time in his presence, in intimacy with God, the more will be given to us, for God is Wisdom Itself (v.27-30).
V.32 So now, children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 listen to my instruction so that you may be wise, and do nor neglect it. 34 Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching at my doors day by day, waiting beside my doorway. 35 for the one who finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
It is time for you to live, be happy and joy, given by God himself, because whoever does not find it brings harm to himself and run to death (v36).
